Now that's really interesting!

We have been trying to make the questions we ask of our speakers a little more interesting. We have found that these really interesting topics inspired more interesting questions.

Great job everyone, we really loved listening to what you had to say.

Public Speaking - never as easy as it looks!

Talking to a group is never easy, but our Preps all have a go at it and we are getting better and better every time.

Have a listen to the great variety of topics that they choose to talk about.

Rings and Bars with Terry

Wow! Take a look at us now as we flip on the rings and show our strength on the bars. Terry has taught us all so much. We are fitter and have new skills and it has all been incredible fun learning it all!

Only one more week left of gymnastics. We will be very sorry to say goodbye to Terry, and so we really look forward to meeting up with him again next year to learn so much more.

Fun on the Farm

We have been having very busy little fingers making a whole variety of different animals for our farm. Here is a turkey which we made out of a pom pom. Now that did take a long time to make, and we are very proud of the results.

These jolly ducks were fun to make with tissue paper and lots of glue.
Our pigs have a 3D effect as their heads stick out. They were a bit tricky to do.

The puppets were just the best. We had great fun making them and had a wonderful time playing with them afterwards.

At the start of next term we will finish our work on farms with a trip to Emerald Bank Heritage Park in Shepparton.

Look Who Came To Visit!

Later this year Grade 2A will go to the Melbourne Zoo, and so they decided to create a huge zoo scene of Beanie Kids. It was so fantastic that they took photos of it and entered it into a Beanie Kids competition. They WON! They were presented with $1000, and better still a huge box of Beanie Kids. What was outstanding was the arrival of an enormous Beanie Kid at assembly to present the prizes.

Well-done Mrs Arnold and all the children of Grade 2A.

Getting Closer

Each day brings new exciting events in the building process of our new school. We can really see things on the move now.

Here they are laying the slab to another pod of classrooms attached to the corner of the library.

If we are very lucky and all keeps going well we may be in our new school at the start of next year!

We Have Lots To Tell You.

Jeremiah had a poster along with a special 'collector's car' in his "Talking Bag". Jeremiah's enthusiasm and excitement about what he had to say was infectious and we were all very interested in what he had to tell us.

Anthony brought in his motorbike helmet and photos. He told us all about the fun his had on his motorbike.

Hayley really struck a cord with her book of Kinder Memories. She spoke so well that we felt we had been right there with her on her first climb up a tree as well as other Kinder highlights.

Noah told us all about his love of Transformers, which is something many of our boys related to. He was just flooded with questions as this was no toy he was talking about!
